My approach to flowers is totally personal and completely driven by my passion – when you get flowers from me, you get me with them. Creative, authentic, open and honest – made with love to reflect your love.
As the daughter of a horticulturalist, I’ve been surrounded by flowers and foliage my whole life – they’d have been hard to escape if I’d tried! – but had always found the wedding flowers available to couples disappointingly basic. They were always totally unrepresentative of the vibrant and wonderful couples that were looking for them. I wanted to create a company to offer couples the total opposite to this – bespoke, contemporary, and romantic arrangements, all designed by a friendly face that genuinely cares – that’s Catherine Short Floral Design, right there!
I take great pride in getting to know my clients and their likes and dislikes, and am passionate about creating modern floral arrangements that really reflect you. A total sucker for greenery, I specialise in bounteous foliage-heavy designs that are soft and romantic without being twee.
You can regularly find me visiting art galleries and exploring the streets of London both old and new, constantly gathering inspiration from architecture, fashion, and the artworld.
When not designing floral arrangements, I’m probably still out there at a music festival or a street food market, feasting on new cuisines before going home to experiment with them in the kitchen.
